We mostly do CBC and carefully curated Netflix selections in our house right now (daughter is still too young to have control over her own media and doesn't really know how to work the TV/Internet yet), but even still I see just how blatant some shows are at attempting to sell toys. Luckily, our kid is more interested in music, art and books than toys, and her toy requests are mostly reasonable (she doesn't get everything she asks for, but she doesn't ask for much).
